Eleanor Rose Home shows how fresh and dried hydrangeas can carry your fall decor and shares a sausage-stuffed pumpkin recipe that looks impressive but comes together simply. Worthing Court offers a favorite tip for softening straight-lined rooms with one rounded piece, plus a front porch answer for readers transitioning from summer to fall.

1. HYDRANGEA SEASON: The best fall decor is probably growing right outside your door. If you have hydrangeas in your yard, now is the time to start clipping them. On the blog I have simple ideas for fall decorating with hydrangeas using both fresh and dried blooms.

1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: I so love the banquette area that I created during our remodel. It’s a prime example of this week’s Easy Decorating Tip of the Week.

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Soften a room filled with straight lines by introducing one unexpected rounded piece, such as a scalloped tray, round side table, curved lamp, or arched accessory. That little break from all of the angles can make the entire room feel more relaxed and inviting.

9. HOME HACK: Put a tension rod under the sink for spray bottles. Hang spray bottles by their triggers from a small tension rod. It uses the otherwise wasted upper portion of the cabinet and leaves the bottom free for other supplies.

9. CULINARY CORNER: Slow Cooker Honey Apple Pork Loin: Cut 1-inch deep slits along the top of a 3- 4 lb pork loin. Tuck slices from 2 sliced Granny Smith apples into slits; place remaining apples and 1 sliced onion in the bottom of slow cooker. Set pork on top. Mix 4 minced garlic cloves, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper; rub over pork. Drizzle with 1/4 cup honey. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with apples and pan juices.
