1. NEW ON THE BLOG THIS WEEK: These two posts are all about making decorating simpler and helping you feel more confident in your home.

2.  AMAZON FINDS: See all my favorite new picks and trending accents from Amazon.

3. GET ORGANIZED E-MAGAZINE: Getting organized doesn’t have to be hard. This 22-page e-magazine gives you 5 easy-to-follow rules that can help bring more order and calm to your home, one smart step at a time.

4. THIS AND THAT: I love THIS vegetable and am growing it in a pot this summer. Use a men’s shirt to make THIS. So feminine! Now is the perfect time of year to decorate with THIS. Love THIS, and it’s no-sew. I post THIS and THAT every week- these are examples.

5. FABULOUS FINDS:

6. BEAUTIFUL HOME TOURS AND MORE: Touring this 1800s farmhouse in New Jersey is a must. Head up to the coast of Maine and visit this 1700s farmhouse– so cozy. Head over to this charming Manhattan apartment, so beautifully decorated. And treat yourself to a little virtual tour of Charleston, and a look at this gorgeous historic home.

7. FUN AND INTERESTING FACTS: What food is healthier for you when it’s cooked? How do you get out of quicksand?

8. CURATED CLOSET: Spring into Summer style.

9. CULINARY CORNER: Zesty Lemon Arugula Pasta Salad: Toast 2/3 cup walnuts in a dry skillet for 3 to 4 minutes, chop, and set aside. Cook 8 ounces pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, drain, and cool slightly. In a large bowl, whisk zest and juice of 1 1/2 lemons, 3/4 cup olive oil, 1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon capers, 1 teaspoon caper brine, 1 1/4 teaspoons salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon honey. Stir in 1/3 cup Parmesan and the walnuts. Add pasta and toss. Gently toss in 1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes and 8 torn basil leaves. Add 4 ounces arugula and toss. Serve right away or let sit 10 to 15 minutes.

10. THE LAST WORD: What do you do with all those hard-boiled Easter eggs? Make my favorite Egg Salad With A Twist recipe. I love to eat it for breakfast on sourdough toast.

ANSWER TO #7: Tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus, and other veggies are better for us when cooked, but so is leftover pasta. When it is leftover and not fresh, it has more resistant starch, which is linked to better blood pressure control and gut health. Getting out of quicksand is actually easy. Lie on your back and keep your arms out of the quicksand. Wiggle your feet to propel you to the edge of the quicksand. Now you know.

1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: The name of the game is simplicity when it comes to the centerpiece on my dining room table this spring. The color chartreuse is definitely having a moment in the world of home decor and I’m loving the look of it combined with every shade of blue.

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Open your windows on mild days and pull back the curtains to let in as much natural light as possible. Nothing refreshes a home faster than sunlight and fresh air!

3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know lightly oiling wood cutting boards every few months keeps them from drying out and helps them last for years?

4. FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE: I’m slowly gathering items for my master bedroom and loved these so much in blue, that I’ve also ordered a pair in brown. The quality is amazing, and you can’t beat the price! Find all of my purchased and loved decorating, gadget, and organizing favorites HERE.

5. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: Tidy one drawer or cabinet that has been bothering you. Small wins create a sense of calm that carries through the rest of the house.

6. READER QUESTION OF THE WEEK: “I love decorating with flowers, but fresh ones don’t last long. What’s the best alternative?” See #10 for the answer!

9. HOME HACK: Keep a small basket by the door for sunglasses and sunscreen. As the days get sunnier, these two items suddenly become daily essentials. Storing them by the door means you can grab them on your way out instead of hunting around the house.

10. ANSWER TO READER QUESTION (#5):  High-quality faux stems are a great option, especially for everyday decorating. Choose realistic flowers and place them in a simple vase just like you would fresh blooms. Mixing faux greenery with a few real stems when you have them is another easy way to create a natural look.

1. DECORATING WITH IMAGINATION: You don’t need a big budget to make your home feel fresh and beautiful, just a little creativity! These are some of my favorite ways to do exactly that without spending a dime.

2. COZY TIP OF THE WEEK: Set a little basket or tray by your front door for muddy shoes and umbrellas. It’s practical and cozy for those April showers that bring May flowers.

3. AMAZON FINDS: Shop cozy finds I’m loving on Amazon.

4. LITTLE THINGS I’M LOVING:

5. FROM MY KITCHEN TO YOURS: Posset always felt a little intimidating to me, but not anymore. My orange posset is creamy, citrusy, and made with only 5 ingredients. Plus it looks like something you’d get at a high restaurant when you serve it in an orange shell!

6. UPDATING MY WARDROBE:

  • See me in a coastal sweater and more coastal inspired tops I’m loving.
  • There’s a reason way thousands of people grabbed this coastal cardigan when I shared it last year. I wore it to Plymouth, MA and Maine and received so many compliments!
  • Love the fit of these shorts. Plus you can dress them up or down.
  • These scalloped trim shorts look like you’re going on vacation to the Amalfi coast.

7. MAKE THIS WITH ME: You can make your own faux floral arrangements with fake water for a fraction of what you’d pay in a store. All you need are bud vases, faux floral stems, and an acrylic water kit. Mix the resin, pour it into the vases, add your stems, and let it cure for 48 hours.

8. OVER ON THE ‘GRAM: I didn’t realize these pillow covers were the cozy cottage vibe our home was missing.

9. WEEKLY MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: “Let your home be your mast and not your anchor.” ~Kahlil Gibran

10. I WANT TO KNOW: With the popularity of my free printable art, I’m already thinking about free printables for summer. But before I dive in, I want to know what YOU would love to see. Would you be interested in coastal art, vegetable and garden art, or patriotic art? Let me know, your input genuinely shapes what I create!

Happy Wednesday, friends…
