Welcome To Weekly Wednesday Wish List #175

A long time ago, I made up the word “crossholidation!” You know, when a house still has pumpkins on the porch, and Christmas lights are already twinkling. It’s what happens when a home is decorated for more than one holiday at a time. And let’s be honest, crossholidation isn’t exactly a compliment. It carries that subtle hint of “bless their hearts” in true Southern fashion. Oh, and “crossholidate” is the verb!

That said, I’ve now become one of the biggest crossholidators (yes, it’s a noun)! As bloggers, many of us have our Christmas trees up before November even arrives. Today on WWW, we have some fabulous Christmas ideas to share, so I’m fully embracing crossholidation—and it looks like Ann and Lory are, too, by sharing their beautiful holiday decor, too!

By the way, does anyone know how you get a word in the dictionary?

BTW: How do you get a word in the dictionary? Ann, the talented crossholidator is first…

  1. What a fun and creative term! “Crossholidation” perfectly captures that amusing yet chaotic moment when seasonal decorations overlap. I must admit, I’ve definitely seen my fair share of pumpkins next to twinkling lights! Your favorite decorating links are a great resource; I’ll be checking them out for some inspiration.
