1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: Arranging furniture in our new-to-us small living room has been a real challenge, but I think I’m finally happy with the direction that its headed. Next step – hanging draperies so that I can get some artwork on these blank walls!

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Incorporate soft curves through rounded accessories like bowls, lamps, or mirrors. Curved shapes balance out straight lines and add a welcoming feel that works especially well.

3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know upholstered furniture benefits from a quick vacuum this time of year? Winter fabrics tend to trap dust and pet hair more than we realize.

4. FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE: Wow – y’all are loving the interior door knobs that I posted last week! So, let me follow that up with the exterior door keyless entry deadbolt that we switched to. I never realized before how much I would love not having to carry around house keys, plus having the ability to set special codes for anyone that I’d like to grant access to.

From decor, gadgets, organizing, and needlepoint – check out all my favorite Amazon purchases HERE.

5. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: Show love through everyday actions. A warm meal, a listened-to story, or a simple kindness offered freely carries far more meaning than anything elaborate.

6. READER QUESTION OF THE WEEK: “What’s a simple February reset I won’t abandon halfway through?” See #10 for the answer!

  1. Suzy,
I follow Wednesday posts but life has been a bit crazy the past through months. Finally gave quality time to reading everything today. I did not realize you downsized…you are now part of a fun group. We did almost two years ago and have enjoyed the transition. If you posted about your change can you direct me to that post? Would love to hear your thoughts. Yvonne’s posts and Ann’s really helped me not only prepare but adjust. Thanks!
