8. FALL CLASSIC CLOSET:

9. DELICIOUS APPLE CRISP: Preheat the oven to 350°. Add 6 peeled and chopped apples, 2 TBS sugar, 1 3/4 tsp cinnamon, and 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice and toss together in a mixing bowl. Transfer the apples to a greased 8 x 8 baking dish. Add 1 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats (not instant), 1 cup cold unsalted butter cut into small cubes, and a pinch of kosher salt in a separate mixing bowl. Using a pastry cutter or two knives, work the butter into the ingredients until pea-size crumbs. Spread the topping over the apples and pat it down until it is even. Bake for 40-50 minutes until bubbly and golden. Serve warm with ice cream.

7. WHAT I’M READING: If you’re an Ann Patchett fan, give Tom Lake a try. It’s a lovely little ‘slice-of-life’ book, centered on family relationships, and the bonus if you’re into audio books is that it’s narrated by Meryl Streep. The tone of the book is ever-so-perfect for Streep’s delivery.

8. FASHION PICKS: Animal print is everywhere, especially leopard print. Here are some fun picks:

9. WHAT’S INSPIRING ME AROUND THE WEB: I absolutely love the way this dining room brings the outdoors in. It’s warm and bright, organic and elegant. Also crushing on the fresh crisp look of this utterly perfect bedroom and the openness of this stunning living room with elegant mix of vintage with modern.

10. UP NEXT: Using a soft fall color palette in your decor…

1.) Fall is all about cozy moments, and with the right decor, you can create a space that welcomes the season with open arms. Make your home a true reflection of your personal style, and fill it with memories. See how your fall decor can tell a story, bringing warmth and comfort to every corner.

2.) ITEMS I OWN + LOVE: There’s a section in the OSP Amazon shop that features items I actually own, and can personally recommend. Take a look HERE. Click the “shop now” button at the top of the page.

3.) FAVORITE QUOTE: “Wash the plate not because it is dirty nor because you are told to wash it, but because you love the person who will use it next.”
~Mother Theresa

4.) I’m intrigued by a fairly new decor style called Cottagecore. It’s been around for a little while, but I never paid much attention until recently. I am ready to explore new ideas, and Cottagecore blends beautifully with Farmhouse, so I think I could make it work. Take a look and see what you think!

5.) FAVORITE FINDS:

6.) Take a tour of this historical home that was turned into a space for modern living, and then roam around this beautiful, magical, farmhouse in eastern Washington state.

7.) I made my first pot of soup for the season! I made chicken and rice soup, and was able to use fresh thyme (instead of dried) from my garden. It was delicious. Next on the menu is vegetable beef soup. If you want some soup inspiration, click HERE.

8.) If you are wishing for a little more joy in your life, consider this quote from Amy Weatherly: “Some people could be given an entire field of roses and only see the thorns in it. Others could be given a single weed and only see the wildflower in it. Perception is a key component to gratitude. And gratitude is a key component to joy.”

9.) September is here, and I am going to enjoy every minute of this month. I hope you do the same. Have a good week!

Happy Wednesday!
