Happy official spring, friend! I’ve been sharing spring ideas with you for the past month, hoping to inspire you as you begin adding the season to your home little by little. Now that spring is here, and Easter is just around the corner, there’s still plenty of time to refresh and enjoy your decor before summer arrives. 1. TIMELESS & TRENDY: Gingham is having a major moment right now, and I am here for it! Decorating with gingham is one of the easiest ways to add a classic, nostalgic touch to any room in your home.

2. COZY TIP OF THE WEEK: This tip might be controversial one, but decorative pillows on our bed have been gone for years. Mr. ERH would toss them off the second he walked in the room which drove me nuts! But honestly, our bedroom feels cozier and more relaxed now, and I’m no longer picking pillows up off the floor.

9. CULINARY CORNER: Easter Carrot Cake Using A Box Mix: Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare two 8-inch round cake pans. Beat together 1 box yellow cake (or spice cake) mix, 2 cups grated carrots, 1/2 cup water, 3 large eggs, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1/4 cup raisins, 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, undrained, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, and 1/4 cup chopped walnuts on low just until combined, then on medium for 2 minutes. Divide the batter between the pans and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, checking at 30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in pans, then turn out onto a rack and cool completely before frosting.
