Welcome to the 200th edition of The Wish List! Nearly four years ago, we had an idea and decided to give it a try…after all, what did we have to lose? Thanks to all of you, that idea has grown into something truly special. To celebrate and say thank you, we’re each giving away a $200 electronic gift card! 8. THIS AND THAT: Need ideas for dinner? Get delicious recipes On The Menu every week. If you love collecting plates, why not put them up on your wall? Tour this beautifully restored Georgia farmhouse. This article will show you how to clean your garden pots before you plant them this spring.
9. CULINARY CORNER: Rustic Raspberry Cheesecake Tart: Preheat the oven to 350° and butter a tart pan with a removable bottom. In a medium bowl combine 1 1/3 cups flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Add 7 TBS cold butter, cut in small pieces, and combine with your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs. Add 1 egg and mix until a soft dough forms. Press the dough evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork and place in the refrigerator to chill while you make the filling. In another bowl, beat 8 oz room temperature cream cheese until smooth. Add 1/3 cup sour cream, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla extract, the zest of 1 lemon, and 2 TBS fresh lemon juice. Beat until the filling is creamy and well combined. Pour the filling into the chilled crust and smooth the top. Scatter 1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries evenly over the filling. Sprinkle with 1 TBS sugar if desired. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the filling is just set and the crust is lightly golden. Let the tart cool completely, then refrigerate before serving. Remember to sprinkle liberally with powdered sugar.

Thanks for the pan seared steak recipe and the the cod in wine and tomato recipe, both sound fabulous. I think finding new things or new ways to cook old favorites is so helpful, trying to figure out what to cook next is difficult sometimes.

Thanks for lots of interesting ‘rabbit holes’ to go down, including a new vocabulary word ‘fluffle’. Some words do sound like what they describe. I also enjoyed the Georgia farmhouse article, the house turned out beautifully and very true to its’ history.

I love the rice and chicken casserole recipe. I usually keep a bag of shredded chicken in the freezer for nights when I want to be half way to dinner. This seems like the perfect item to make that we will love for the meal.

I’m excited to make the Chicken and Rice recipe. I LOVE recipes for two since I’m only one person and will have one more meal for leftovers. Most recipes are for four plus which is too many of the same meal for one person.
