10. CULINARY CORNER: Spicy Cocktail Pecans—Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Mix 1 cup melted butter, 4 tsp hot sauce, 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 2 tsp sea salt, and 1 tsp garlic salt in a bowl. Put 6 cups of pecan halves in a large bowl and pour the butter mixture over the pecans, tossing to combine. Bake on two rimmed baking sheets for 12-15 minutes, rotating halfway through. Transfer the pecans to a paper towel-lined baking sheet and cool for 20 minutes. They make a great hostess gift.
ANSWER TO #7: Minnesota raises the most turkeys, 42 million annually. Squanto, also known as Tisquantum, a Patuxet Native American, was an interpreter essential to the Pilgrims during their first winter in the New World.
