Home Style Saturday #426

Home Style Saturday is in full swing, and everyone is getting a jump on Christmas this year! As I write this, Bobby is across the room wrangling the top of our Christmas tree, stringing it with lights because, after 10 years, they finally aren’t working. I hoped to have the tree decorated about a week ago, but life got in the way! So, tomorrow’s Christmas tree decorating day! Just say a little prayer for us that no more lights stop working!

I’m up first today…

  1. Hi Yvonne, everything is gorgeous! You, your assistant and Bobby have done a spectacular job this year!! I have a question. Living alone, the thing that wears me out is what to do with what gets moved or โ€˜put awayโ€™ to make room for holiday pieces?? Do you pack up what is already on a tabletop? I created a โ€˜Walter Warehouse of Fixturesโ€™ closet but itโ€™s too full to incorporate the books, tabletop art, etc. so I can put out the Xmas items (which come from bins in the garageโ€ฆand not everything in those bins gets used. Adding existing home decor to them would crush what Iโ€™m not using.) Do you have a solution for me? Thank you!!

    1. I have a big basement, Marcia. But I don’t move a lot. Just some accent decor. Have a beautiful Christmas.

  2. Yvonne,
I love following your tips and ideas. You have made such a difference in many decorating ideas for me. You have a gold framed painting, of children in the snow above your Christmas decorated fireplace, I would love to know where you purchased it from.
    Thank You
